Leeds/Bradford ski holidays
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is in the town of Yeadon, just over 8 miles from Leeds city centre and Bradford, 13 miles from Harrogate and about 30 miles from York.
Winner of ‘Best UK Airport’ in the 2014 Travel Weekly Globe Awards, it has flights to airports near ski resorts in Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland and Lapland.
Driving to Leeds Bradford Airport:

Driving from the south: Take the M1 towards Leeds and Wakefield. When the road forks off, keep right and enter the M621 for Leeds centre. Take the A6110 Ring Road exit for the A653, Dewsbury and follow signs to the airport.
Driving from the east / west: Follow the M62 towards Leeds, then fork off onto the M606, following signs for the A638. Turn right onto the A6177 and follow the airport signposting.
Driving from the north: Leave the A1 at junction 47 for the A59 towards York and Harrogate. Continue onto the A658 at the third roundabout, then follow the signs to the airport.
Parking at Leeds Bradford Airport:
The Short Stay car park is about a 2 minute walk from the terminal, with up to 30 minutes costing £3 and 24 hours parking costing about £35 last time we checked.
The Mid Stay car park’s also within a 5 minute walk of the terminal, best for weekend stays and short ski breaks. Prices are around £90 for a 3 day stay but booking in advance online often brings the cost down.
A Long Stay car park can be found a five minute shuttle bus journey from the terminal and prices were around £70 for a week last time we checked.
It’s possible to pay more for less hassle with the Premier Meet and Greet service, where you unload your bags in front of the terminal and stewards park your car for you.

Trains to/from Leeds Bradford Airport:
The 757 Flying Tiger Buses link the airport with Leeds Station, which is just over 8 miles away. Destinations from Leeds Station include Manchester Victoria, Poppleton, Skipton, Sheffield, Barnsley and Hull.
For Bradford station (also about 8 miles away), take the 737 or 747 buses. Bradford station has trains to Manchester Victoria, York, Blackpool North, Huddersfield and other destinations.
Harrogate station is 12 miles away, and can be accessed by the 747 bus for trains to Knaresborough and other stations.
Taxis to/from Leeds Bradford Airport:
The airports official taxi company are Arrow Cars, who are the only taxis allowed to use the terminal forecourt.
Coaches to/from Leeds Bradford Airport:
National Express have coaches to Leeds Coach & Bus Station, which is linked to the airport by the 757 Flying Tiger Bus. They also run coaches to Harrogate Bus Station, which is a further out, but also served by the Flying Tiger Bus to Leeds Bradford Airport (service 747).

The Yorkshire Premier Lounge has complimentary drinks and snacks and access to Wi-Fi and televisions. Last time we checked it cost around £20 per person.
Food and Drink:
There are several options for eating within the terminal, from Burger King to The Saltaire Bar and Eatery and Camden Food Market. There’s also a Caffe Ritazza before security.
Shopping:
After security you’ll find shops like WH Smith, Superdrug and World Duty Free. There are several Travelex’s spread out around the terminal for currency exchange.
Wi-Fi: Last time we checked there was free 24 hour access to Wi-Fi throughout the terminal.
