Doncaster/Sheffield ski holidays
There are no ski holidays from Doncaster/Sheffield Robin Hood airport this winter, but there are lots from nearby Manchester airport and Leeds-Bradford airport.
Opened in 2005, Doncaster Sheffield or Robin Hood Airport (DSA) is one of the UK’s newest airports, with flights to ski resorts in Europe and beyond.
More or less slap bang in the middle of England, it’s within half an hour’s drive of Doncaster and under hour away from Sheffield, Lincoln, Hull and Mansfield.
Driving to Doncaster Sheffield Airport:
Doncaster Sheffield Airport’s postcode for Sat Navs: DN9 3RH (or enter Hurst Lane, Doncaster).
Driving from the north or south via the A1: Get off the A1 at junction 34 (for Blyth), and take the A614 towards Bawtry. Follow signs to the airport.
Driving from the west: Drive eastbound on the M62 towards Hull. At junction 35, take the M18 southbound. Get off at junction 5 and head eastbound on the M180. Exit at junction 1 and follow signposts to the airport.
Driving from the east: Drive all the way down the M180, then go completely round the roundabout, turning back down the M180 eastbound towards Scunthorpe. Take the first exit at junction 1 and the airport should be clearly signposted.
Parking at Doncaster Sheffield Airport:
Good news - all of Robin Hood Airport’s parking areas are within short walking distance of the terminal building, so there’s no need for shuttle bus transfers.
The Express Drop-off & Pick-up area is right outside the terminal. Last time we checked, it cost £1 for up to 10 minutes while the Short Stay car park (2 minutes away) was free for the first 15 minutes.
The Long Stay car park is 5 minutes’ walk from the terminal and is probably your best bet for week long ski holidays. There’s also a Premium Car Park, less than 1 minute from the terminal which comes with its very own terminal entrance and exit.
