If its flexibility that you’re after this year, then you need look no further than one of our self-catered apartments in Austria. Whether the kids aren’t eating anything more adventurous than fish fingers, or you want to spend every night in a different restaurant, the spontaneity of self-catering will be right up your street. Self-catering apartments have long been the accommodation of choice for those looking to ski on a budget, and if you’re careful with the cooking then this does often prove to be the cheapest option. However, in recent years we’ve seen a massive increase in those staying in luxury apartments, many of which have facilities more often associated with chalets or hotels (think hot tubs and saunas) – and if you can’t bear the thought of cooking after a day on the piste then there are plenty of great restaurants in town (the Masianco St. Johann is a favourite). Unfortunately, we don’t seem to have any chalets in St Johann at the moment.
