Ski this snow sure, typically Swiss resort at a fraction of the cost by self catering in one of our apartments. The Allalin Apartments (named after the glacier we have to thank for the awesome snow conditions) are about 10-15 minutes’ walk away from the supermarket and village centre. There’s a Coop supermarket in the village centre and you can pick up pastries and breads from the Bäckerei Konditorei Bumann which is less than 5 minutes walk from most apartments. Most shops are open Monday-Saturday from 8-8:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evenings, closing for lunchtime between midday and 2pm and opening on Sunday’s for a few hours too. Restaurants like the Walliserkanne (which usually has a great set menu) are easy to get to if you fancy a meal out one evening. Make sure you save one meal out for the Threes!xty restaurant if you’re after something special – it’s the highest revolving restaurant in the world.
