Book your accommodation in Maderno for August if you’re looking for a holiday of lake and mountain activities, history, culture and beautiful surroundings.
August is one of the hottest months, which makes Maderno’s beach areas a key asset. One of few sandy beaches on the lake, Azzuro has umbrellas, deckchairs and facilities for children, as well as crystal clear water for lake bathing and a quintessentially “Lake Garda” view. For somewhere quieter, Ulivi is a smaller pebbled area which is more secluded.
If you’re not soaking up the sunshine and surroundings from the lakeside, Maderno sits in front of a magnificent national park, filled with cycling, hiking and walking routes as well as some charming local churches which offer cool tranquillity – perfect for when you want to avoid the hottest parts of the day. For a sunny game of golf, the Bogliaco is an 18 hole course nearby that offers an amazing view over the lake. Evenings in August are lovely and warm; for a real treat, hire a boat and head over to the other side of the lake to watch the sun set over Maderno and the mountains.
We love Maderno for relaxing summer holidays in August where you can enjoy the area at whatever pace you like. If you would prefer to stay in one of Lake Garda’s larger, busier resorts, have a look through our August holiday deals in Garda, Malcesine or Desenzano.
