You’ll enjoy lovely balmy weather in Torri del Benaco in September as well as a quieter atmosphere. As one of the smaller Lake Garda towns Torri can feel quite busy during the peak months of June July and August so, if you want to fully appreciate it at a quieter pace, a September holiday here may well be just the ticket for you.
What you do on your September holiday depends on whether you prefer a faster or slower pace and want to stay in the local area or explore places further afield. Torri has some lovely footpaths and you’ll find lots of walking and mountain biking routes as well as pebbled beaches and a charming harbour if you want to make the most of the early autumn sunshine. The historic town centre is a great place to explore in general, but more specific things to see and do include Torri’s castle and the Pietro Paolo church, so do put them on your must-visit list! Torri is well placed if you want to visit a variety of nearby towns, less than ten minutes’ drive to Garda town and with good boating links to other parts of the lake.
At the risk of sounding like cliché man, in a nutshell there’s something for everyone, both in the town itself and in the easily accessible towns nearby and, however you chose to spend your holiday, September is a great time to be in Torri. If you’re looking for somewhere with a busy lake-town atmosphere, visit Desenzano or Riva or, for more September sunshine, visit Sirmione.
