A small lake resort with lots of character and stunning scenery, Torri is the ideal base for a quiet and relaxed holiday in June.
You can’t stay in Torri without visiting the Scaliger castle and its museum and a great time to do this is in the middle of the day when the ancient stone walls create a wonderfully cool climate inside. Other things to see on balmy June Torri afternoons include the rock carvings up on Monte Bre and Monte Luppia and the Tanella cave which is refreshingly cool throughout the year.
Torri has a multitude of popular walks of all levels of ability and duration including walks in the woods and around the vineyards and olive groves, as well as lazy afternoons of soaking up the sunshine and watching the world go by on the harbour. If you want to swim in the lake during your stay in Torri, head over to nearby Garda to the Parco Baia delle Sirene.
Part of Torri’s charm is in the fact that it’s one of the smaller Lake Garda resorts, however if you prefer a larger, busier resort, stay in Desenzano or Riva.
