Torri is brilliant in July, offering warm weather, tonnes to do and see and some great events. One of the quieter resorts, Torri del Benaco is brilliant if you want to stay somewhere less busy during the peak months. July is the warmest month in Lake Garda as well as one of the most popular times for holidays around the lake. Torri offers a quieter resort with excellent access to other resorts for days out as well as plenty to do to locally to enjoy the weather.

The weather can become quite hot in Torri in July so plan your day to make the most of the morning and afternoon sunshine and seek out some shade in the middle of the day. For walking or bike rides, Torri has some beautiful footpaths and cycle paths offering spectacular lake views. You’ll find some lovely vineyards and olive groves to wander round in the hotter parts of the day and you can also have a really nice time just wandering around the streets and exploring the cafes and shops that are scattered around. If you want a day on the beach, head over to the Parco Baia delle Sirene near Garda – this private beach area has something for everyone from deckchairs to children’s activity areas.

Some of the top/most interesting/popular things to see here in July include the Scaliger castle (you can’t miss it) and the fascinating rock carvings up on Monte Bre and Monte Luppia. The Tanella cave is brilliant for the adventurous and refreshingly cool during the summer months.

As well as exploring the surroundings, summer in Torri is about lazy afternoons in the sunshine on the harbour and al fresco dining in Torri’s fine selection of restaurants.

There are a range of events here in July celebrating history, culture, sports and the arts. A particularly unique and memorable event which takes place in the middle of the lake is the Sardellata moonlight festival where you can experience some of the ancient fishing practices of the area and enjoy fresh food. For sporting fans, the Moira Bergamini bike race takes place here in July and the Scaliger castle also hosts some brilliant open air theatre and cinema throughout the month.
