Torbole is great in June for a relaxed and refreshing holiday. While Lake Garda can be quite hot in June, Torbole’s northern position on the lake means it gets a reliable and welcome breeze which takes the edge off the heat. For many, holidays in Torbole are all about windsurfing (whether you’re doing it yourself or watching from the beach) and enjoying the laid back cafe culture. You can soak up the laid back atmosphere accompanied by live jazz if you stay in Torbole in June, when the resort hosts the annual Garda Jazz Festival’s evening concerts and beach parade.
Besides windsurfing, cycling and walking are also very popular activities. You can walk or cycle all the way to Riva along the promenade, discover Mount Brione and there are also some lovely walking trails up on the hills around Nago from where you’ll find terrific lake and mountain views, so take your camera.
June is a brilliant time to experience Torbole when the weather’s warming up and the resort is less busy than in the high season. If you want to stay somewhere with more history and culture, try Gardone Riviera or Limone or for soaking up the sunshine, stay in Sirmione or Peschiera.
