Peschiera in May

Peschiera is lovely in May. It’s one of Lake Garda’s most southerly resorts which is less affected by wind (so you will feel warmer here than in some of the northern resorts such as Riva and Malcesine). Because of its southern position, Peschiera can be quite hot later on in the summer, so May is a great time to come here if you want an active walking or cycling holiday and don’t want to be held back by the heat and busyness of the high season.

In hot beach weather (which is not uncommon here in May), Peschiera has 2 beach areas and is one of the best places to swim in Lake Garda. The water begins to warm in May for those who like to take a dip.

If you like a holiday with lots of days out, Peschiera is superbly appointed and located. It has its own train station for access to Venice or Verona and is nearby the Parco Natura Viva zoo which is excellent for families. The famous Parco Sigurta’s botanical gardens are gorgeous in May and offer plenty to do and see.
