Book your holiday to Peschiera in June if you want to stay somewhere with warm, still weather as well as plenty to see and do. Located on the south of Lake Garda, it’s less affected by the wind than other resorts, which means you can enjoy the best of the June sunshine. For sunny days around the resort, Peschiera has two beaches 10 minutes or so walk from the town centre and is a great place to stay if you want to swim in the lake as the water is usually stiller and warmer towards the south. Popular things to do in Peschiera in June include cycling or walking the Mincio path, horse riding and rounds of golf on Paradiso del Garda’s 18 hole course (which also has a pool, wellness centre, bar and restaurant to keep non-golfers happy).
Excellently located for days out, Peschiera has its own train station which provides access to Venice and Verona. This makes it an excellent base if you want to experience the Arena di Verona Operafestival which begins in June. For family days out, the Gardaland themepark and canevaworld water park (which is great on really hot days) are only a 10 minute drive from Peschiera and the the Parco Natura Viva zoo is also nearby. The botanical gardens of Parco Sigurta are stunning in June and can be explored on foot or bicycle.
June is a great time to stay in Peschiera, which can be much hotter in July and August as well as a lot busier (especially during school holidays because of its popularity with families). If you’d rather stay somewhere cooler, try Limone or Malcesine which are further to the north of the lake or Torbole or Riva which are more sporty.
