October doesn’t offer a climate for sunbathers in Limone but its mild weather (with average temperature highs of around 18°C) is perfect if you prefer a cooler holiday or want to enjoy Limone’s excellent hiking and cycling terrain without getting too hot.

If you’re looking for a summer holiday in a traditionally warm climate, its best to visit Limone in the temperate months of May and September, or the warmest months of June, July and August but, if warm weather is not on your perfect-holiday tick-list, read on.

As well as some amazing active terrain around Limone and the Alto Garda Bresciano national park, Limone has some lovely old churches including St Peter and St Rocco. These are great for visiting if you’re caught in a rainy spell besides the Museum of tourism in the old town hall and Limone’s range of shops and cafes.

October is a big month on Limone’s sporting calendar, with international mountain biking event Bike X Treme taking place here as well as the Lake Garda Marathon, which starts in Limone. As well as being fun to watch, these add a fantastic atmosphere to the area, making it a great time to visit.
