Limone sees temperature highs of around 20°C in May, making it perfect for a holiday if you prefer a milder climate. May is a great month to stay in Limone if you want to sample its lovely walking, hiking and mountain biking trails of the Alto Garda Bresciano national park without getting too hot, particularly if you want to try some of the more challenging routes such as the one to the Cima Mughera peak. It’s also a great place to stay if you like water sports with windsurfing, sailing and kayaking all popular here.
On sunny days in Limone, you can relax outside harbour restaurants or soak up the history and culture on Limone’s cobbled streets and promenade. Rainy spells are usually short here but there are plenty of indoor things to do while waiting for the sky to clear – Limone has some lovely churches, museums including the Fishing Museum and Museum of Curiosities and a variety of shops.
Limone has a brilliant mix of attractions for an active holiday where you can really soak up the area’s history and culture. If you prefer one or the other rather than a mix of both, try Riva for sporting activities and Malcesine or Torri for sightseeing. If you like the sound of Limone but prefer a hotter holiday, conisder booking a holiday here in June or July when the area really warms up.
