Book your accommodation in Bardolino in July for a summer holiday of glorious weather, varied activities and fine local wine. Bardolino has hot days and warm nights in July as well as everything you need to enjoy the sunshine, keep cool in the hottest hours and make the most of the warm evenings.
On sunny days you can swim in the lake, hire a boat or sit back, soak up the sunshine and watch the world go by from one of Bardolino’s pristine pebble beaches, promenade benches or the lakeside park. For a proper beach day, head over to nearby Lazise (a 15 minute drive or a short bus or boat ride), which has one of the best sandy beaches in all Lake Garda.
July is the hottest month and temperatures can get quite high, so you’ll want a resort that has lots of things to do to take the edge off the heat of the day and Bardolino is brilliant for this. Its vineyards make a welcome setting for cool walks and you can learn all about them in the wine museum. You’ll find a lovely collection of terrace cafes around the main square serving ice-cool drinks and gelato or for a day out, the Canevaworld Aquapark is barely a 10 minute drive away.
On warm summer evenings, Bardolino has a great selection of restaurants for tasty al fresco suppers, accompanied by local wine as well as piano and cocktail bars for evening drinks. The promenade is perfect for an evening stroll along the lake and you can also enjoy music, dancing, poetry and much more at the Festival of Lake Garda which takes place in July.
Bardolino is a fantastic place for enjoying Italian produce in a gorgeous lakeside setting and we love how warm it is here in July. For a resort that’s cooler in the summer months, visit somewhere further north such as Limone or Torbole.
