Kickstart Scheme Marketing Jobs

Digital Marketing Assistant

We are excited to be able to offer this Digital Marketing Assistant job placement via the Government Kickstart Scheme.

The job will be:

  • 25 hours a week
  • 6-month placement
  • Paid the National Minimum Wage

Important requirements to apply for Kickstart Scheme:

  • Be between 16-24 years old
  • Must currently be on Universal Credit

We're looking for a fast learner and a great writer who is eager to build their marketing skillset. If you have studied English, Marketing or a related subject at college or university, or have a flair for writing, looking for an opportunity to learn, develop your marketing skills and work in the travel industry, then we would love to hear from you.

The position is for 25 hours a week for 6 months. Full training will be provided, but the candidate must a strong writer. Due to COVID-19, much of our team is currently working from home. We hope to return to the office in Putney for at least 2 days a week in the Summer. The interview process will include a video call and a writing task.

Digital Marketing Assistant job summary

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role forms part of our business growth venture. This entry-level role will be responsible for creating new content for beach destinations on the website and support campaigns across owned marketing channels. It's a very exciting time at SNO Holidays, already a successful online ski travel agent, we are now working towards launching high-end beach holidays in 2022.

You will play a significant part in launching a new beach holidays section to the SNO website and gain valuable experience within the marketing and travel industry. You will develop marketing skills through training and hands-on learning, receive professional development, and understand the marketing team's day-to-day functional responsibilities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Research and write copy for new travel destination web pages.
  • Supporting large growth project.
  • Keeping stakeholders updated with the progression of project.
  • Support marketing campaign planning for 2024 2025 ski season and execution.
  • Maintaining and updating website, including site copy, stats, imagery.
  • Writing and publishing new blogs.
  • Take part in training opportunities.
  • Writing copy for social media posts, promotional email and other marketing collateral.

Skills & experience required:

  • Strong writing skills, to graduate level - this is the number one requirement
  • Be fluent in English
  • Digitally savvy with good computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional, friendly and reliable
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with multitasking
  • Passion for travel
  • Evidence of writing experience required (Personal blog, article, essay)

Desirable skills but not essential:

  • Travel experience in the Caribbean, Central/South America, Asia or the Indian Ocean.
  • Passion for skiing or snowboarding.
  • Degree/studying in English, other humanities involving extensive writing, or Marketing.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office.
