Is it me, or does the whole world now describe anything for sale as a “deal”?

They’re not ski holidays anymore, they’re ski deals.  Even when you start to type “april ski ” into google, it offers to complete your sentence as “april ski deals“.  So are we suddenly getting a better price than we did last year?

Or is it just different words for the same stuff… so we feel like we’re getting more than we’re paying for?
