Situated in the heart of Wilderswil just off the village square, the characterful Hotel Bären is a traditional Bernese inn which dates back to 1706. Run by the loveable Bernard Mueller, there is always a friendly and relaxed atmosphere here. The train station is 10 minutes’ walk away, and bus stop is 100m away for easy access to the most desired excursions.

Bären translates to bears in English and it is a nice touch to find bear themed décor dotted around the hotel. There is a front of house terrace and upstairs balcony with seating for enjoying full views of the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger mountains. Visit the well-stocked underground wine cellar for some cheese and wine tasting or unwind in the sauna. Enjoy hearty Swiss cuisine served in the rustic restaurant. There is a weekly barbecue (weather permitting) and a special Swiss brunch on Sundays including salmon, rösti, poached eggs and champagne.
