The family-run Hotel Barbarahof is in a great spot, right next to the nursery slopes and close to the centre of the resort. Lots of the rooms have wonderful views of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, and some have balconies too – spot on for taking in the scenery before turning in for the night.

Despite its simple exterior, the inside of the Barbarahof is stylish and full of character – from the trendy cocktail bar and lounge with the Mediterranean-style fireplace, to the extensive wine cellar. Before you head to the bar for a pre-dinner drink, explore the impressive wellness area with its indoor pool, sauna steam room and fitness area.
