This is a big, family-run hotel with great facilities and a real focus on wellness. It's on the edge of town, and a walk to the cobbled centre of Zell am See takes around 20 minutes, but there's a ski bus that'll pick you up from right outside the hotel and take you into Zell, and to the slopes too.

When it comes to the décor, think modern alpine style. There are comfy sofas, log-burning fires and chairs that hang from the ceiling in the lobby and bar, and wood-panelled walls, cow print benches and tartan bedspreads in the bedrooms.
