Great hotel, staff very friendly. Basic rooms. Plenty of food choices, pasta. Close to the Gondola lifts and more access from the other side of Yllas. Best holiday I’ve ever been on, Husky sledging, reindeer farm were amazing, Santa village was amazing as well. So impressed we even got to see the Northen li... + more

Saaga is located on the tree line of Ylläsjärvi, where the scenery is magnificent, as far as the eye can see. The view changes according to the time of day and year, making every moment special in our hotel. The Gondola-lift, which runs right next to our hotel up to the fell, tempts you to spend a day on the slopes. Versatile skiing tracks and paths invite you to dive into the shelter of the forest, after breathing in the fresh air on the fell. Beautiful pool facilities, which include a jacuzzi and steam sauna, provide excellent possibilities to relax.

This gorgeous Lapland resort (pronounced “U-las”) has welcomed skiers since the 1930s and is the biggest of the 35 ski areas in Finland, home to the country’s longest slope, the 3km Jättipitkä run (which translates to ‘enormously long’!). Great hotel, staff very friendly. Basic rooms. Plenty of food choices, pasta. Close to the Gondola lifts and more access from the other side of Yllas. Best holiday I’ve ever been on, Husky sledging, reindeer farm were amazing, Santa village was amazing as well. So impressed we even got to see the Northen lights. Will definitely go again but not this year!
