The hotel was good was it was renovated in some parts so really lovely, and good rooms were nice. The staff were all lovely and helpful. it was such a fabulous, nice holiday. Hotel Montana is in a great location on the pedestrianised streets of Cortina. It's a lovely little bed and breakfast and a great place to stay for both skiers and those just wanting to explore the resort.

Start your mornings with good breakfast before walking the 300 metres to the Faloria lift, which takes you straight onto the mountain. The resort bus stop is close by too so getting to other areas and lifts is just as easy. It also means at the end of a great day's skiing there's no need to hurry back. Enjoy a few mountain drinks first and then it's just a short walk from the bus stop back to the comfort of the hotel.

In the evenings, head into the bustling streets where you'll be spoilt for choice with lots of great restaurants serving everything from traditional pizza to Michelin-starred cuisine.

Transfer time: approx. 3 hours from Innsbruck airport.

Everything starts up on the mountain where you’ll find some lovely huts for lunch. Rifugio does exceptionally good bombardinos, a local speciality drink. It’s usually made up of a mix of Advocaat and brandy. Have it served hot with whipped cream if you fancy being indulgent. Food was fine not much variety. For ski access you take a bus, and it is very regular, transport is fantastic and it’s a very short walk. Nothing to complain about for that at all.
