Overview: hotel description: Hotel Bellevue description

In a quiet spot just above the centre of Obergurgl is the Hotel Bellevue - known for its friendly atmosphere, stylish Tyrolean decor and superb cuisine. Run alongside its neighbouring sister hotel, Hotel Austria, by three generations of the Steiner family and their team, you can expect a warm welcome and excellent service throughout your stay. The Bellevue is only a few steps from a ski run that leads to the Hohe Mut gondola, making it even easier for experienced skiers to get up and about on Obergurgl and Hochgurgl's slopes.

Food is taken seriously at the Hotel Bellevue. They use local, high quality ingredients and offer high quality service to match. Expect a great mix of Tyrolean cuisine and international dishes, fused with fine dining and an excellent range of wines from Austria and beyond to complement your meals.

The Bellevue is interconnected with the Hotel Austria, and the two share a modern spa with heated indoor and outdoor pools and a range of saunas and steam rooms - ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the Valley of the Kings. Families are also well catered for - kids between two and 12 years old can take part in activities organised in the free, supervised kids' club. The club runs from Sunday to Friday during the day and evenings - so the adults can either get out on their own on the slopes or take a little break in the evening.

This traditional mountain village sits at a high 1930m in Austria’s Oztal valley. Obergurgl is renowned as a snow sure resort with some of Austria’s highest altitudes, making it well worth a visit if you’re travelling particularly early or late in the season. Scattered with upmarket accommodation, the village itself blends a luxury touch with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It has a vibrant character, and alpine charm with many a Tyrolean tradition found in the town and on the mountains in popular slope...
Many highly regarded ski schools are on hand for beginners – there's a gentle learning slope at the resort for picking up the basics. A mini club and ski kindergarten are available at the Obergurgl Ski School where skiing is taught in a fun and safe environment for little ones just starting. The Top-express Gondola takes you to Hochgurgl's higher altitudes. Wide pistes and amazing snow make this the perfect area for progressing beginners to test their abilities. After steadying those legs, work your way up t...
The après starts on the mountains where there are many bars ready to serve skiers that well-deserved pick me up of warm glühwein. The skis come off at the lively Nederhütte, just above the resort, where merry skiers mingle with drinks accompanied by live music before getting up on the tables when the real party starts. The gondola next to the bar will take those a little unsteady on their skis back to the resort - when these close, skidoos run everyone back to base. Hohe Mut is another favourite amongst sk...

"5 Star facilities, fantastic food and convenient location."

Nicholas

The quality of the rooms and facilities were 5 star – better than we were expecting as the price was very reasonable, so great value for money. The staff were quite mixed, to be honest – some were great, but the manageress was quite brusque, but that could be due to it being the end of the season. The pool and the panoramic outdoor section were fantastic. The food was fantastic. Very high quality and 4 courses every night and the children enjoyed the adult menu as well. The location of the hotel is very convenient and Obergurgl is great in terms of the transfer from Innsbruck – it’s only around an hour and a half, which is nice and quick. Obergurgl is great value compared to France in terms of food and drink. On the slopes we love the Hohe mut restaurant and also the Nederhutte which is a great spot for family-friendly apres and lunch as well.
