Overview: chalet description: Chalet Virmadisa description

A fantastic family chalet minutes from the ski lift and with incredibly beautiful views

Staying in this wonderful chalet in Verbier puts you in prime position for skiing. Located in a secluded area just beyond Chalet d'Adrien, the chalet sits a stone’s throw from the Savoleyres lift station - so you can be whisked up the mountain in minutes to maximise your time on the slopes.

Chalet Virmadisa is ideal for a family seeking peace, quiet and excellent skiing for a refreshing break in Verbier. Situated above the village, it benefits from fantastic sweeping views across to the mountain ranges in the distance, the perfect place to enjoy nature and make fantastic memories together.

Entering the chalet you are greeted by the spacious living floor. The living room offers plenty of comfortable seating where you can relax after a day on the mountain, watching the skies change through the huge floor to ceiling windows. The stone fire adds a warming ambience to the room and an integrated Bose sound system allows you to set the tone whatever the occasion.

Just adjacent is the open plan dining area and kitchen. Seating 10, the space is ideal for enjoying some quality family time over a meal, and the kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. If you want to dine al fresco, the dining area's french doors open out to a lovely outdoors table on the terrace where you can soak up the sun.

The owner recently added a second outdoor seating area. Complete with comfortable sofas, a fire pit and a fireplace, this is the perfect spot to warm up, stargaze with a hot chocolate or roast marshmallows with the kids. Beyond the terrace is the sunken cedar wood outdoor hot tub, where you can enjoy a long post-ski soak to the backdrop of the expansive views.

In the main chalet, you’ll find two well-appointed double bedrooms, and one twin/double bedroom. Finished in beautiful rustic wooden panelling and with alpine-patterned furnishings, these rooms offer a cosy place to re-energise for your next ski day. Each room boasts its own en suite shower room, and one includes a TV.

Children will love the charming quad bunk room, decorated with hand-carpented designs on the bunk beds and cosy textiles. There is also a lovely TV snug with a sofa where they can snuggle up to watch their favourite movie before bed, and a convenient en-suite shower room. The bedroom opens out onto the garden space and lower terrace, which has its own outdoor seating area.

The master bedroom occupies the top floor. This room beneath the eves is a luxurious space to rest your head, where you can wake up to views of the snowy mountains in the mornings. There is a spacious en-suite shower room with his n’ hers sinks.

On the floor between the bedrooms and living area you’ll find the peaceful spa, boasting a sauna, a jacuzzi bath and a rain shower, and another door leading directly to the outdoor hot tub.

This chalet has its own neighbouring mazot, a small separate property on the same grounds, ideal for extended family or grandparents wanting a little more privacy and independence. There is a cosy living area and a comfortable double bedroom upstairs with a shower and WC.

The living area also has a huge flat sceen 3D TV, ideal for movie nights! It is a perfect extra space that adds to the flexibility of the property as a whole.

The chalet has two outdoor parking spaces. There is also a private laundry room.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
