Overview: chalet description: Chalet Pic Vert description

Chalet Pic Vert (sleeps 12) - 1550m. Whether you are a larger group of friends or perhaps 2-3 families joining up for a skiing holiday together, we have no doubt the the Pic Vert is the chalet for you.

This wonderfully old-fashioned, typically Verbier, freestanding chalet is set in a fanastic location ideal for access not only to the village centre but also the main Medran lift accessing the full area ski circuit.  It can be rare to find properties with a living area as ideal as this... with comfortable sofa seating for all and a fantastic open log fire, you really can relax and enjoy the great surroundings this super chalet has to offer. The bedrooms are all comfortable (some under eaves) and there is a good amount of bathrooms and loos.

The infamous Pub Mont Fort is a stone's throw away (but not intrusive in any way) as is the village centre with all its shops, other bars and restaurants.  The Medran lift is only about a 4-5 minute walk and on your return from skiing the heady heights that Verbier's legendary skiing provides, you can absorb the wonderful views from the chalet's great terrace in the evening sun with a chilled glass of wine or a sumptuous slice of freshly-baked cake.

Chalet Pic Vert is superbly run by two of our very own chalet hosts (most likely a couple) who live away from the chalet.

Did You Know:  Chalet Pic Vert is one of the longest-standing holiday chalets in Verbier which has now been oerating for in excess of 25 years.  This is a true testament to its popularity as it fills up with repeat guests year after year who have been visiting this superb resort forever...

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Pic Vert's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
