Warm, clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water and great value for what we paid. Difficult to fault really! We had a bargain last minute booking in January and certainly can’t complain as we didn’t pay top whack. Maybe someone paying full price could be a bit pickier but I don’t know what they’d find a probl... + more

We had a good week and the chalet was great, very comfortable and with easy access to the skiing. The food was ok, they did fairly normal meals and our room was just about right. The chalet was really nice, everything was clean and pretty comfortable – fine for what we were looking for. The food was good, usual meal in the evenings (although we went out a lot so didn’t eat there much). I think it was all the wine you could drink and they had an honesty box for beer. They did tea and c... + more

Natalia 2 is a great chalet with a big open plan kitchen and living area with a plasma TV and leather sofas to chill out on. The slopes couldn’t be closer, you head the door and in 1 minute you’re on a blue run which goes down to Mottaret centre. If you want to go out in Meribel the ski bus stop is about 2 mi... + more

Twinned with Chalet Natalia I, very big groups would do well to book them both together - capable of sleeping up to 32 people. The light colours of tile and wood thrown in with large windows, make it a very welcoming choice of accommodation. Its easy access to the piste (100m) and the resort centre (400m) furth... + more

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"Hard to fault"

A satisfied customer, Warwickshire

Warm, clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water and great value for what we paid. Difficult to fault really! We had a bargain last minute booking in January and certainly can’t complain as we didn’t pay top whack. Maybe someone paying full price could be a bit pickier but I don’t know what they’d find a problem with. The top chalet maid was poorly but everyone mucked in and did a good job, the food was fine and there was plenty of it. The chalet isn’t ski in, ski out, but it’s not far from it.

"Great chalet, liked Mottaret"

The chalet’s in Mottaret rather than Meribel and I personally think the skiing was better from Mottaret, especially if you’re more advanced.

The chalet was really nice, everything was clean and pretty comfortable – fine for what we were looking for. The food was good, usual meal in the evenings (although we went out a lot so didn’t eat there much). I think it was all the wine you could drink and they had an honesty box for beer. They did tea and cake late afternoon and breakfast had cooked options like bacon, eggs, sausages and stuff. It wasn’t the easiest to get out in the evenings as the chalet is a little way out from the main stretch of bars. We normally got the bus into town and took a taxi back, so expect to have to use public transport and taxis. From where you’re staying, it’s a stone’s throw from the slopes. You just board down to the lifts and can pretty much board directly back.

"Slopes couldn't be closer, nice leather couches for tea & chat"

Natalia 2 is a great chalet with a big open plan kitchen and living area with a plasma TV and leather sofas to chill out on. The slopes couldn’t be closer, you head the door and in 1 minute you’re on a blue run which goes down to Mottaret centre. If you want to go out in Meribel the ski bus stop is about 2 minutes up the road and it’s 15 minutes down the valley. I'd probably recommend Scott’s bar as it is a really nice place to go for cocktails and often has live music as well.

The light colours of tile and wood thrown in with large windows, make it a very welcoming choice of accommodation. Its easy access to the piste (100m) and the resort centre (400m) further add to the appeal of this chalet, making it a top choice for large groups looking to stay in the resort which is at the very heart of the world renowned Les Trois Vallee domain.
