We are undertaking more renovations for winter 2024/25 , this means that where we make improvements some existing photography may be inaccurate including the floorplan. Confirmed changes - the hot tub & sauna is being moved to the left side of the chalet next to room 1. A NEW ski/boot room will be built on the area to the right of the chalet where the hot tub & sauna were previously.

Chalet Mouria is one of the most popular catered chalet in Courchevel Moriond (1650). The lounge and dining area were renovated with all new furnishings at the start of the 2022/23 season, which has really brought out the stunning character of this 177 year old farm house. It's now easy to imagine that you are staying in an opulent hunting lodge!

One of the oldest buildings in Courchevel Moriond, Chalet Mouria has been in the hands of the same family for many years, it has been lovingly expanded and refurbished along the way, but still retains it's traditional structure, including exposed wooden beams, stone walls over a foot thick, and every room is different.

This superb chalet also has an outdoor hot tub with stunning views and a large outdoor barrel sauna to relax in after exploring the Three Valleys ski area.

The open plan lounge & dining area offers a fantastic space to relax at the end of the day and enjoy the lovely open log fire and relaxing sofas and armchairs. There is also a ski room with heated boot racks.

The bedrooms are very individual, all bar one has en-suite facilities, and three rooms can sleep 3 guests: two of these rooms have a mezzanine, which whilst having a low ceiling gives plenty of extra space. The chalet can sleep up to 21 using the three triple rooms, but we base prices on 16 for sole occupancy.

If you would like to self drive there is free car parking available for 3 cars. If you choose to self-drive, we can provide a discount on your price as you won't be taking transfers with us.

Our VIP chalet service is included and consists of a full English cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and cake and a wholesome 4-course evening meal with superior bottled wine, provided by your friendly host (hosts live in the chalet*). Please note our chalet staff have 2 days off a week; a Wednesday and a Saturday in Courchevel. On these days they will leave continental only breakfast and afternoon tea out for you, but the evening meal is not provided, which gives you an opportunity to dine out in Courchevel 1650, where there is no shortage of restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops.

Mouria is actually the name of the area where the chalet is located with the village. This super chalet is in a great, central location, well within the village but is set back slightly from the high street with its many shops, bars, and restaurants. Access to the main bubble lift (Ariondaz) is very straight forward, being just a couple of minutes walk away. On your way home you can ski to within 200m of the chalet. It's a great ski holiday location as everything Courchevel 1650 has to offer is literally on your doorstep; great food, great apres, great access to all Courchevel villages and the 3 Vallees, and its 600kms of piste!

TOP TIP - The ski & pedestrian bus stop is just opposite the chalet so you can be in Courchevel 1850 within 5-10 minutes, the buses are very frequent. Using the bus is a short cut if you want to ski to Val Thorens quickly, it will save you at least 30 mins. It's a great way to get back from the Folie Douce too without the pressure of needing to get the lift connections into 1650. Simply ski to 1850 and take the bus to the chalet. The bus runs very late so if if you want a big night out in 1850 you can, but be warned the prices up there are a big step up from the more reasonable prices in 1650!

If you have non-skiers in your group, Chalet Mouria is a perfect base to relax or to explore the Courchevel villages by bus or by foot. The huge indoor water center, Aquamotion is just a short bus ride away or a 15-minute walk.

* Due to cleaning, maintenance and refill/reheat time, jacuzzis are not available on arrival days

** Where the host lives in, they may or may not be the host looking after you during your stay. They have their own room and bathroom but you may see them using the chalet kitchen to prepare their food

We are sorry but the chalet is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. It's the largest and highest of the villages and boasts a private airport, twelve Michelin stars between its restaurants, two palace hotels, and many designer boutiques. It's a seriously swanky stomping ground for the fashionable, famous and affluent. ...

There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to make the resort child friendly, the Indiens piste focuses on fun for kids. Activities here include face painting, a treasure trail and many other activities around a...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in La Mangeoire piano bar or La Suite Bar & Louge; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or go clubbing in Les Caves de Courchevel. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar.
