Location: where is Chalet Mont Fort

In a quiet enclave of the village, only 3 minutes walk from the Medran lift and 5 minutes to the bars and shops in the resort centre.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Mont Fort description

Our photographer thought that it might be our smartest chalet in the Alps and it is hard to argue with his work. A vaulted ceiling lends some space and grandeur to a very elegant and comfortable décor and this makes for an exceedingly handsome home. Enjoying Verbier is about location, location, location and this property is a three minute walk from the Medran lift and a few minutes further from the village centre. An arm’s length from the action but cosseted away from the noise and clamour. The south facing balcony is bathed in sunlight and the view will make you pinch yourself. If Alpine Top Trumps existed, you would want this card.

We update Chalet Mont Fort's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...

We've had a wonderful holiday. The snow conditions were fantastic with lots of new snow, however what made it special was the experience. Fleur, is a fantastic chalet host ... and the cakes are to die for - especially the chocolate Guinness loaf! She chatted happily and is friendly without being intrusive, respecting your space and holiday. The chalet itself is roomy and beautiful, few minutes walk to the lift and as you leave all your gear at the lift station, it is easy and no problem at all. The other person who made the holiday stand out was Rob, our ski guide for 4 days (he offered an extra day due to restrictions on when the other chalet could go). Guiding is just so valuable, not only in showing you around, but he also gently pushed me into doing harder slopes than I would normally volunteer for - but only because he felt confident that my ability would match the difficulty of these runs (Tortin and Col des Mines). But that does mean that I was very tired and was happy to be back at the chalet at the end of the day being comfortable and being looked after by Fleur!

Everything from the location, pistes, snow and most of all chalet and hosting was amazing. Verbier has a small team of excellent staff.... All very willing to make your stay as perfect as possible. Fleur our chalet host was exceptional, getting to know our quirks for G & T's, lazy mornings and making every effort to make our stay as perfect as it was. The food and catering were exceptional (thank you Fleur!). Robs ski hosting managed to exhaust the most enthusiastic skier as requested (thanks Rob I owe you!). Everything was done to make us want to come back..... Which I really hope we do........

From the moment we arrived on Sunday 29 December 2013 we were made to feel both comfortable and welcome. The chalet Mont Fort is very comfortable even if the bedrooms are a little on the small side, and the lighting at times a little dim. The excellent location of the chalet makes it an ideal base for Verbier as it is so close to the Medran bubble and the main bus stop for the free bus shuttles. Fleur, the chalet host could not have been more helpful - as someone with some challenging food allergies nothing was too much trouble - she made me gluten and lactose free cakes every day, made sure I had starters and canapés that were safe to eat, and together with Will, the resort manager, make sure I had lactose free milk and butter and rice cakes, I was hugely impressed with the attention to detail and the effort made to make sure that my food was of the same quality and standard as everyone else's.

Francis was an excellent host and will clearly be successful in whatever carreer path he follows. Will was an exceptionally good guide , particularly as he had to provide a service to very high profile celebrity guests as well as to ourselves. As a somewhat nervous skier I was particularly grateful to him for the time he took to build my confidence and ensure that I was able to enjoy what would normally be challenging skiing for me. As a result I was able to progress significantly and to ski routes that I would formerly have avoided
