In the peaceful, private "Fermes de Val" area, chalet Marie is a 10 minute walk from the center of Val d'Isère and a 8-10 minute walk to the Bellevarde Express lift. Geneva 170km, Chambery 135km, Lyon 234km.

Chalet Marie is one of the four 'Sisters’ named after the owner’s daughters. These luxury chalets are situated in a beautiful and quiet street on the estate of Les Fermes de Val. The four luxury chalets are in a great location within easy walking distance of the town-center, although the driver service is just a call away.

The décor of Chalet Marie is best described as chalet-chic - a beautiful blend of reclaimed timber, natural stone, cosy soft furnishings and mod-cons that will make a stay all the more enjoyable. With four double/twin en-suite bedrooms, this luxury chalet sleeps 8 in extreme comfort and is ideal for skiing vacations for both adults groups and families.

As you enter the property, in front of you is a blue glow from the swimming pool and on your left, the authentic wooden ski-boot room. Add the warmth of the chalet itself to the greeting from your staff for the week and you can’t help but smile – you’re skiing in Val d’Isère after all. The chalet’s wellness area consists of a steam room and a lovely indoor swimming pool with a jet stream and a large arched window so that you can watch the snow fall outside as you stretch aching limbs with a swim before supper.

Walk up the curved staircase to the first floor and you will find the beautifully appointed master bedroom on the right. The luxurious en-suite bedroom has an ornate Moroccan wooden ceiling above the bed and a beautiful bathroom with separate walk in shower and bath. Along the corridor are two more double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, full of wood and character. Rich red curtains drape the windows and warm the view.

Up another flight, the living area is to the right and dining to the left. There is also access to a large balcony. Comfy sofas wrap the big wooden occasional table, and one wall is devoted to entertainment in the form of large flat screen TV with UK channels, DVD player and a small library of books. The open fireplace, contributes to the mood and long windows stretch the length of the room offering views of the valley and peaks either side. The living area is where your dining experience begins, with drinks and canapés followed by dinner at the large table to the rear of the lounge.

On the top floor is where the fourth en suite bedroom which is wonderfully intimate, under the eaves of the chalet, giving an authentic cosy feeling. All of our chalets are non-smoking inside.

This superb chalet is complemented by our revered chalet service including generous breakfasts, exquisite evening meals, fine wines, champagne and flawless service.


Families: Chalet Marie for children

Children are expertly looked after by a qualified private nanny. Our handpicked childcare team are qualified professionals, whose enthusiasm and nurturing abilities are in abundance, so much so that both parents and children often ask to take them home. In Val d’Isère our chalet guests have the choice of a private nanny or our exclusive Explorers kids club .

We look after children from as young as four months, making sure the entire family has a relaxed, fun and memorable vacation. Our team organize age appropriate activities and can take the older ones to and from ski school, allowing you to spend all day on the slopes. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can provide babysitting.

Explorers kids club : Run by qualified nannies, our purpose built kids club in Val d’Isere is available exclusively to guests and is open seven days a week. Each day promises an imaginative and entertaining program of both indoor and outdoor activities, so parents can spend the day on the slopes knowing your children are in expert hands. Snacks and lunches are freshly made each day and we also operate a driver service that can take your children to and from ski school.

Private nanny : All our nannies are fully qualified (CACHE trained or similar) and are carefully selected for their natural ability with children and their nurturing and fun approach. We provide rigorous pre-season training which includes a paediatric first aid course, water safety and spending time with our chefs learning how to prepare nutritious snacks and lunches. Available for five days a week, they ensure your children enjoy a range of activities, whilst adhering to their home routines. They can also take children to, and collect from ski school each day.

Babysitting : Babysitting can be arranged in the evenings and is chargeable by the hour (€20 for the first hour, then €10 per hour until midnight, and €20 per hour thereafter).

Facilities in the chalet include an indoor swimming pool with jet stream, steam room on ground floor, ski/boot room with boot warmers. In the living room there is a large flat screen TV with UK channels, DVD player, Apple TV and bluetooth soundbar.

South facing balcony : The large south facing balcony outside the dining room is a great place to soak up the sun in March and April.

Steam room : Steam room ideal for soothing aching limbs after a long day of skiing. Seats 4.

Living room : Large flat screen TV with UK channels, Blu-ray DVD player, Apple TV and bluetooth soundbar.

Boot room : Boot room with boot warmers and space for ski and snowboard equipment and personal belongings.

Safe : There is a safe in each bedroom

Room Types: Chalet Marie bedrooms

Chalet Marie has four bedrooms all featuring traditional wooden beams and Moroccan style ceilings. Each room has an en-suite bathroom decorated with a mixture of wood and modern slate tiles. All bedrooms have electronic safes.

Room 1 - Double/Twin : The spacious master bedroom of Chalet Marie has a small dressing area and desk space. The en-suite bedroom has a bath and separate shower with ‘rainforest’ shower head. There is space for a cot. The room also has a flat screen TV with UK channels.

Room 2 - Double/Twin : A twin/double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Shower in bath. TV with UK channels.

Room 3 - Double/Twin : A twin/double room with en-suite bathroom. Can accommodate a cot. TV with UK channels.

Room 4 - Double/Twin : A fabulous double/twin bedroom on the top floor of the chalet under the eaves giving a really authentic chalet feeling. Open plan en-suite with shower with ‘rainforest’ shower head. Space for a cot. TV with UK channels.
