Overview: chalet description: Chalet Le Misti description

Situated in a peaceful location just below the centre of 1650, Chalet Le Misti is your archetypal free-standing Alpine chalet which just oozes Savoyarde warmth and charm.

It has a lovely open plan living/dining room with a roaring log fire and a large balcony with stunning views on which to relax and soak it all up over a chilled glass of House Wine.

All the bedrooms have their own bath/shower rooms and on the ground floor, there is a sauna in which to rest those achy legs after a days skiing perhaps taking on the world-renowned couloirs of 1850.

Access to the village and skiing is straight-forward and can either be done via a 5-7 minute walk (uphill) or by using the village escalator which whisks you up the mountain to the lifts and village centre with its many shops, bars and restaurants that the increasingly popular village of 1650 has to offer. Alternatively the local free bus stops closeby or our complimentary service will take you to/from the main 1650 lift at set times during hte mornings and afternoons. Chalet Le Misti is run by one of our welcoming chalet hosts (with occasional help from one of our combi-hosts) who lives out.

Did You Know: The hugely popular Chalet Le Misti has hosted in excess of 1500 happy guests over the last 14 years and is still as warm, welcoming and beautifully presented as it was on Day One all the way back in the 2004/5 season.

Meals: Chalet Le Misti food & drink

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Le Misti's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

"Great!!"

We had a great holiday! The weather was great; it was sunny and the snow was amazing! The chalet was super, the hosts were chatty and welcoming and the people staying there were friendly too. The hosts also organised (usually the night before) to personally take us to the lifts in the morning, which was great. The chalet wasn’t full whilst we were there so we had lots of space. The rooms were what you would expect from a chalet and the beds were comfortable. The chalet was in a really good location, with a ski bus just outside. It's just at the bottom of the escalator in the resort. The food was very good too. I highly recommend heading down to St. Martin for lunch, because it’s really chilled, there are lots of restaurants and it’s a lot cheaper too.
