Location: where is Chalet Cascade

On the slopes- The Chalet building offers a unique position, in the sought-after Praz de la Legettaz area, right on the piste with a very easy pisted path taking you directly to the Solaise bubble. It is ideal for getting to ski school or being the first on the slopes every day. It is possible also to ski back to the chalet via the steep black run, Epaule de Charvet, or via the red run, Santons. For beginners, the bus would be the best option to return to the property. The resort centre can be reached with a 10-15 minutes’ walk across the nursery slopes or otherwise with the local bus which runs every 15 minutes. The bus stop for the Train Blue route is literally a few steps from the door.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Cascade description

Understated and traditional- Chalet Cascade is located on the ground floor of a classic chalet building shared with chalets Santons, Vallon and Charvet. It boasts a spacious open-plan dining and living area with a rustic and warm feel enhanced by plenty of plush sofas, just perfect to unwind with an afternoon snack or an aperitif in front of the traditional stone fireplace, simply an excellent choice for a group of friends.

Intimate and homely - The compact bedrooms are comfortable and cosy, classically French, they might not be that spacious but are all en suite with a bath or shower with decent storage and three of them open onto a nice terrace. This chalet will also appeal to families due to the ease of access to the slopes, you can literally walk out from the door and ski away!

Quality time– After a great ski day, fun times can continue in the games room which offers a pool table or you can just relax and unwind in the sauna and steam room soothing your sore muscles. Let’s not forget the fantastic hot tub on the large outdoor terrace. The chalet building has heated boot warmers in the basement and ski lockers at ground floor level. Free Wi-Fi is also included.

This all inclusive holiday to Chalet Cascade in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 22nd December 2024, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
