This is our 3rd holiday with this tour operator each time in a different chalet. The chalet itself is nice but the kitchen is very small for someone to cater for 8 people in. It is the smallest kitchen of the chalets we have stayed in. Two of the knobs on the hob are broken and have not been fixed despite Eliza... + more

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"So central"

These suites are an ideal place to spend a week in Val d’sere, you literally couldn’t get any more centrally located on the main street of Val d’Isere. The chalet is very clean, spacious and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet due to its proximity on the main street. The catering was amazing with literally everything made fresh everyday, and the chalet hosts are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements at no extra cost. The chalet hosts and the concierge staff downstairs are very knowledgable, anything you need is no trouble at all. Theres also complementary drinks downstairs with use of the hot tubs throughout the day. A nice touch was the ski service in the morning, where a driver takes your skis down to the slopes so you don’t have to carry them as it is only a short walk to the main lifts.

Awesome. Really impressed by all the staff from start to finish. All very friendly, helpful and efficient. Eliza was an amazing host. Great cook, friendly and made us feel very at home. A few minor points. The beds are way too hard. I like a hard bed but found it difficult to sleep on these beds especially when you have skiing aches and pains. One kitchen roll a week is not enough.

This is our 3rd holiday with this tour operator each time in a different chalet. The chalet itself is nice but the kitchen is very small for someone to cater for 8 people in. It is the smallest kitchen of the chalets we have stayed in. Two of the knobs on the hob are broken and have not been fixed despite Eliza asking. My only complaint is about the cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery. I am not sure if it is a problem with the dishwasher, but we did keep having to rewash items because cleanliness was not to an acceptable standard. It would also have been nice to share with a family with similar aged children rather than 2 couples.
